Tourist Spots: United States and Canada

If you love travelling like me, you know that there’s no greater pleasure than to see different sights, be one with nature, meet different people, learn more about various cultures and try new things. Travelling is one of life’s pleasures and everyone should make it a point to travel, whether locally or abroad, at least a couple of times a year.

Two of the countries I love to visit are Canada and the United States. For first time travellers to those countries, here are some sights I recommend that you see. (These are among the highest visited spots too!)

In the United States:

- Times Square in New York City: known for Broadway, prestigious restaurants and establishments, cinemas, and larger-than-life signs.

- National Mall and Memorial Parks in Washington, D.C: contains many iconic landmarks within its thousand-acre area.

- Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco: draws almost 20 million visitors yearly.

In Canada:

- The Rockies, along the British Columbia-Alberta border: known for the beautiful scenery.

- Niagara Falls: arguably the most famous waterfall in the world.

- Banff National Park, in Alberta: the first national park in the country; over 3 million visitors a year.

Sow you have an idea of places you should visit when you get to travel there. My recommendation for transportation is to get a cheap United ticket for inter-state travel in the U.S., and a cheap AirCanada ticket for Canada. It’s worth it.
