Time Clocks

Time clocks have been very effective in keeping track of an employee’s daily hours in the office or workplace. While there are now other methods of doing so like the ID swipe system, there are still a lot of companies that rely on timeclocks to monitor their employees. 

Timeclocks work together with a time card for every employee. Whenever the he arrives in the office, in the factory, or whatever workplace he has, he gets his time card, which is usually located within reach from the timeclock. He “punches in” into a slot and the timeclock automatically prints the exact time he did this. And when he is about to leave the workplace, he will again “punch out” to determine what time he left. This helps the supervisors monitor the tardiness and attendance of their employees effectively. Of course, each company has its own policies that support this system, but, generally, that’s how it works.

For security, the time clock can only be adjusted or re-calibrated by authorized personnel. While these timeclocks serve the same purpose, they can come in different brands and models. Basically, there are also 4 variations to the timeclock. These are the basic, self-calculating, time and date stamps, and software based time and attendance.

There are a lot of time clock manufacturers in the market. There are different models based on the needs of each company, big or small. Sometimes, companies have back-ups in monitoring attendance. They have time clock and they also have ID swiping systems to ensure that they are able to monitor efficiently.
